Today is the highlight of your Rwanda safari. After an early briefing at the park headquarters, begin your mountain gorilla trekking experience through the forests of Volcanoes National Park. Treks vary in difficulty depending on the gorilla family assigned, but the experience of observing gorillas in their natural habitat is unforgettable. Travelers often recommend hiring local porters for extra support during muddy sections of the trek. After the trek, visit a local cultural village to experience traditional Rwandan dance, music, storytelling, and community life.
